Ohhh this is one of my favorites, and that is saying a lot! This piece is just too wonderful for words...colors, expressions, style, all of it is just completely fabulous!
This reminds me of a very old French movie in which Leslie Caron played a naive girl who had puppets talk to her, somehow she didn't realize that they were animated by a man who was in love with her. In any case, they are lovely.
I just wanted to say how very cool it was to get that kind comment on my blog from you!! It's so nice to know that someone knows what I'm going through! And yes, I would love to throw some ideas / thoughts your way for feedback - if you'd like to get in touch, my email is keisha (at) elegraph (dot) com.
i bet it would be fun to hang out with these three dudes! they look like so much fun. wonderful illustration, your work always radiates happiness and joy!
Yes, Vanessa, as Cata says, you are a wise woman, you have wonderful drawings, clever words and always you let very kind comments. It´s a pleasure watch your images and read the posts you make in other blogs.
what fun Vanessa... love the juggling piggie! The color palette is really great, almost nostalgic. And so true about having a good circle of friends to keep oneself on track, centered, happy, loved, etc. Hope you are well, Lisa
The do look wise-ish, though I don't know how smart it is to walk around with a ice-cream cone that is almost bigger than your head or with a set of china :)!
Great drawing my friend! Always nice to see your work on a gloomy Monday morning.
Vanessa you are amazing! Thank you for sharing with everyone what we, your friends and family, have so enjoyed for years! I still love the shrinky dink earrings you made me so long ago! Keep creating with your Father's heart! Love ya girl! Stephanie
The frog rocks! Kinda sorta reminds me of this frog "Freddie the Frog" from this wacky TV show Called something like "The New Zoo Review"- back in the 70s. Keep up the awesome work. I'm trying to hit deadlines the next couple weeks, so I probably won't post till closer to Christmas. Miss doing it.
Thanks so much for taking time out of your busy life to leave a comment. Please feel free to leave something funny, constructive or encouraging. Thanks again.
