    how great it was to meet you in 2008, vanessa! i always enjoy stopping by to get a dose of your wonderful drawings. we're now reading "ruby and the slumber party payback", one chapter at a time, and my daughter is mesmerized by your illustrations!we're in the middle of the book, and i'm just as anxious as she is to find out how ruby, teresa and mona are going to pay ro back for all of his slumber party naughties.

    I do really like this picture. The effect of it is so wonderful - like old French picture books or humourous mid-20thC British spot illustrations - but characterful and elegant.
