i love the yummy illustrations you create along with the delightful & endearing storytelling! well, as for this poor dr, i guess he'll use what he's got. what else can any of us do? ;)lol
Hi Vanessa! I really love the expression on the nurse's face and the detail is wonderful! Have a great weekend!
Vanessa, you are too fast too! I don't know how you all get these done so quickly. It takes me days to even decide what I want to illustrate. Your ideas must be on speed dial! Simply fabulous, darling! I love it, as always! I really love the pattern on the doctors pants and the texture on the bag. I don't know what kind of creature that is, but I certainly wouldn't want to try to take it's temperature without a dart gun handy.
I LOVE this! Great characters and composition.
Oh snap, I used to have a doctor in Brooklyn Dr. Lipshitz! He was the nicest person, from Russia. This looks awesome, and very interesting.
Ja Ja!!!!!!! I dont want to be this Doctor assistant!!!!!!!!Good, good work!!!
What a fun illustration! I love it. Thanks for visiting my blog and for your comments.
Oooh yah! But look!!! Dr Lipshit has a BIG syringe and a big needle. That is some injection!
Too funny, I hope they find the proper equipment to take care of that big guy.
AHAHAHA...!! You are hilarious, V!! You've taken such an interesting angle for this - right from the creature's green spotted behind!! You really crack me up! :D :D
hahahah but he surely knows what he is doing :D great work!!!!
Hahahahaha! Ohhhh, YOU'VE got a resident monster here, too!!!! It's a monster invasion!!!Awww, poor doc. He's got the women wondering if he's got enough equipment. No man should have to suffer through that. heeheeeheeeeLove you more than an entire box of Krispy Kreme glaaaaazed doughnuts, hot off the conveyor belt!Oh! Say! I made a batch of homemade cocoa mix the other day and threw out an entire can of ground coffee just so I could keep the cocoa in it. And I'm gonna print out your hot cocoa label and stick it on! HAHAHA! Ooooooweeee, it's gonna look great!
Your characters are so great! Absolutely brilliant! :-)
Another adorable illustration Vanessa! Hope the creature is in good health....and you and your family too!
Oh my, what a situation! Our good doctor does look flummoxed, doesn't he? As for the poor spotted one-- the indignity!
Quite a challenge for the Dr and nurses, but they seem to have seen a new side of their profession. Wonderful illustration, full of humor and with great design as well!
oh vb! ohhhh...my VERY first crush/love in hs was on a guy was called "lipschitz" and even tho he was soooooo cute, that name really made him mad. so when he went to college, he changed it, to "lipschultz". i guess he was just simply tired of the jokes about his poor name and poop. :))) buttt then he went and married another redhead, had a few little lips of his own, and sells mobile equipment in urm, san diego, or somewhere out there. not a doctor, i'm afraid. he also had a tough time dissecting things in biology. but he was reeeaallly cute. sigh! thanks for that memory, ms vb! ")))this is super! i love how the patient is cropped waaay over so i gotta guess what he might look like and i love the precarious angle of dr. l and his bustling, cheeky nurses! and of course, i ADORE his character, the doc...something magical you have with twirly mustaches and swish lab coats and pinstriped trousers! "))annnd thanks SO much for the visit! i feel just the same way about visiting you and your work, silly! and i just got my tricyle catalog and i see DRUM CITY! yaaay!!! take care ms vb!
fanatstic ;-)cheers marcus
What a fun and delightful scene, I have every faith in Dr Lipshitz or more like the wise advice those two smart nurses are going to give him.I love it V
He, He, He, This is too funny! Love the expression on the nurse's face. What day will you be at Surtex?
Oy vey! If I were those nurses, I wouldn't stand under that big guy! When he finds out what Doc Lipshitz has in mind.... ooo weee! Needless to say... I'd be on the other side of that chair!Love it Nester... love the line work, the colors, the perspective! You da bomb!
Well I thought the patient was an elephant and he is green because he's ill ... great illo.
Whoa! That's some creature. I love the looks of uncertainty on the nurses faces. Maybe Dr. Lipshitz is a little too confident! :0)Love you much!
Beautiful! I love this one! Great composition and colours!

I love your characters they have so much personality! Lots of energy in this one too and I love his moustache and spectacles heheheh. Great piece!
Vanessa! You just blow my mind with your wonderful imagination and fantastic illustrations! I was at my granddaughter's b-day party today. Were your ears ringing? Because I was talking about your talent and your book coming out in Sept.
Oooo, it's green with a peculiar rash...I would be very concerned if I was the good Dr. Where exactly is that thermometor heading!?!?
Hehe fab! Your characters are just brilliant :)
Haha! This is wonderful! Everyone looks pretty unsure. Poor Dr. Lipshitz, is right! This is so fun. There's a multitude of ways that this could turn out. I love that you've left it open for us to imagine. hahaLove the new blog design, by the way! :D
Ooh, watch out! Even a touchy subject like this is pleasant and fun the way you create it. Great emotion and always love the color.
Great illustration!!! I love it :)

What great characters - and I love the composition here. Your pieces are so much fun - they make me want to go do some artwork now (instead of procrastinating).
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Wooohoooo! I'm sure glad they were able to put the doc's face back on. He's gonna give it another try, I see... hmmmm...I hope there's enough...um...lubricant. Oh, girlie, HA! Thanks for all the chocolate chip cookie and cocoa love. I had to go to choco-detox, but it was well worth it! I'm digging into a big tub of fried chicken now. Here, have some!
Your imagination knows no bounds!
