I've Gotten Rid Of the Monster Ads

Hey Fellow Bloggers,
I want to thank each and every single one of you that have
come to visit the blog while I have been away. I really, truly
appreciate each and everyone of your comments and can't wait
to get back to leaving messages on your blogs. I am also writing
to make an grand apology for the recent ads that have shown up
on my blog. To each his own, but some of these ads did not reflect
Vanessa Brantley-Newton. I was horrified when I saw them
and tried to fix them through the host and It still didn't work.
The last thing I'd ever want to do is to offend any of you beautiful
souls and if I have offended any of you, I am truly sorry.
I want my blog to be a safe and happy place where families
can come and visit and my fellow artist/illustrators can
be encouraged and inspired.
I promise you that you will not see these ads anymore. I have removed
them all. My desire and hope is that I will always have the joy of
posting illustrations and pictures that speak to the child in each
of us and bring much inspiration, laugher and creativity.
Thanks so much for your understanding. Okay, I've taken care
of the monsters. Have a good one.

I too ignore the ads, it's easy with your wonderful illustrations, no worries sweetie, your work outshines any ugliness that may have temporarily reared it's head. We missed you! by the way, I loved the mermaid you did for the Ripple Blog, you are now the "Illastratice Juenesse Extraordinaire" (an extraordinary children's book illustrator who is female) wow, so Ms.IJE for short. Sorry, I'm in a silly mood I think ;)

So missing you right now. :D Hope you are having a great summer so far.

I do notice ads on blogs I really like, because I click on them to send you guys money! haha.

I must say I've seen offensive ones on other people's blogs but didn't happen to catch any here. Anyway, I would have known that they don't represent you, 'cause you're cool beans and rice! :D

Well, I think I better go check what ads are coming up on my blog! :D Big Hugs! Eve

Dearest Sweetest Vanessa,

Seriously you are the biggest blessing to the earth. You absolutely made my day. I'm delighted to be even associated with you. You are a ray of sunshine to the art world, and you are so talented, and most certainly you are a big inspiration to me. (That all sounded so cheesy, but I don't think I can properly express how amazing you are). Thanks for checking in. Edward and I have moved twice and have two moves to go before we settle, fortunately for about 3 years this time. Running a business has been difficult through all this and I'm going to have to start all over again with somethings. But we'll get there. I have a lot of projects and a lot of ideas. I have to say I'm so impressed with people like you that are full time moms and freelancers. I know you have a lot on your plate. (What's your secret?) I'm hoping I can figure out a rhythm sometime soon.

Anyway... warm squishy regards,

Meridth

ps. As per usual, I LOVE this illo. Everything you draw and paint turns to chocolate covered gold.

Glad you got rid of the scary ads (although I didn't notice them either).

Love the googly monster though.

Have fun!

Three books+ other freelance stuff +moving + being a wife/mom!!!! My goodness you are certainly a super-hero. Thanks one million times for the tips. I'll figure it out. (It will be a bit easier after the move, as you know). Wow. Impressive.

Seriously dear sweet V, you melt my heart and I feel super dooper lucky to know you. Glad you finally got some "time off." You deserve it. You are stellar!

Like others, I didn't notice the ads - I only looked at your artwork.

I love this illo, makes me almost feel that ads are cute.

Welcome back! Adorably fierce monster :)

I didn't see the ads but glad you got it all ironed out.

Abby said...

So many ads pop up on people's blogs, I don't even notice them.

Your artwork here is so fun! I doubt any stray ads would detract from it anyway.

Thanks for visiting my blog and for your comment!
