Chocolate! Why hasn't anyone mentioned chocolate? That has been my life-long comfort food. Just the chocolate--not in a recipe. Plain, dark chocolate. Yum....

Ok, since it's the season, I love cooking with pumpkin. Pumpkin pancakes and pumpkin bread from TDAC, of course. I'd LOVE to have the book. Hint. Hint. :D

I use the leftover pureed pumpkin in other things--like pasta even.

Hey Vanessa - loved your illo for this book and as always you are such an inspiration. My favorite comfort food most of the time? Definitely potato-based, ie. fried, mashed, hashed, or poutined (yum!)

HOWEVER...at this time of year, I have to say that TDAC for me stands for: This Diva Adores Cookies! You know what I'm talking about: holiday-homemade-been-in-the-family-forever recipes, melt in your mouth goodness (no calorie counting allowed) and "why didn't I make more!" cookies....my alltime fave: "thimble" cookies (aka Santa's Thumbprints) You can find my recipe here, enjoy!

The book looks enticing !
My favorite dish is a roast chicken with potatoes around, all cooked together in the oven. Not exactly diet food, but so delicious!

I love a grilled cheese sandwich, with the toast thick and buttery and the cheese, sharp and tangy. Now cut it in half and dip that in some thick tomato basil soup, and as you take a bite, a tiny bit of the soup and cheese drip lusciously down your chin. Yum!!!
Hungry yet?
