Fun execution of a familiar childhood moment (at least, it was a frequent occurrence for me).

Also, I've always liked that rather mordant saying.

You're warm squishy notes really make my day, and are undeserved... but I'll take them because I'm greedy like that ;)

I definitely feel like you and I are on the same wavelength. It's nice that there are those with a sense of humor out there... and a sense of incredible style. (Fingers pointing your way!!)

Love this piece as always, and I have to say that I love your furniture embellishments. Have you taken a History of Architecture/Furniture class or are you just astute like that?

It's a great piece of pretend, just reminds me of my childhood play with my siblings.
I used to pretend be the smart & wise one, sometime bullying them in a creative way....and the war begun:(

this reminds me of my cousin brother who had started learning taekwondo... he was really excited too... one day while having a pretend fight with his brother and he gave a flying kick... missed his brother and hit the cupboard... there was a gaping hole in the cupboard... i dunno how he did that he was quite small... guess the cupboard must've been old...

nice illustration by the way... :)

That's no lamp. That's the evil villain in disguise. Or maybe a tipsy villain, hence the lampshade. Good thing I was there to save you, mom. You could have been a goner!

Hey, his shirt has a similar design to yours in your header. Any significance?

Shows the joy that pretending can bring! And it occurs to me that pretending and creating are linked.

I can imagine that he just got finished terrorizing the couches and coffee table and now its onto the lamp tables.
You really inspire me. You always have at least one new post every week. I hope I can be like you when I grow up.

i'm sure that sidekicks do much more pretending than the feature superheroes although anyone who runs around in their underwear has got to live in some other place…
