WW "Sasha's Ice Balls

This is my finished piece for WatercolorWednesdays.blogspot.com The character changed a bit.
Okay she changed a lot he he he. The rough sketch was more of a girl of 5 or 6.
This is more of tweeny. Have a wonderful week everyone and watch out for Sasha!

Oooooh, girl, watch out! She's got that look in her eye! Fantastic, Vanessa, just fantastic. I love all the winter colors in the background, too.

Just after Christmas, it snowed in northern Scottsdale where we were. But strangely enough, though the snow could be packed into snowballs, it felt a little spongey, like cold styrofoam. (Is desert snow always like that?) My kids put one in the freezer, and now it's as hard as one of Sasha's!

Congrats on your bark-a-licious award!!!

I totally agree this is a beautiful watercolour piece.
I love her soft curly long hair, and she looks so playful with this matching garment, scarf and snow hat.
The white background that contained some dips of pink & light blue add sweetness & softness to the overall illustration.
Thanks Vanessa.

I love her! She better not throw her iceballs at my snowgirl!

I was wondering - do you use Painter to do your illustrations? I am thinking about purchasing it, but I'm not sure how different it is than Photoshop.

She definitely looks like trouble! Yikes... What's your medium on this one?

Be well my friend.

Wonderful, watercolors, hair, style... Ooh La La! So now you have peaked my interest. How did a fashion and hair guru get into phlebotomy?

I think fashion illustration, make-up art, etc... is very cool.

Don't worry, we're freezing our tuchuses off as well. We're supposed to be below 0 by Thursday :(.

I think Sasha may have learned how to make those ice balls from my brother! Boy, do I remember getting a few of those to the cheek on accident - ouch!

Yet another great illustration - I love love love her expression - so mischievous. And the colors are amazing!!

And I hear yah about the weather - I live in Wisconsin and it's been so cold lately (we're getting that cold coming down from Alaska :() and a ton of snow!
