Natalie's Monster Tails

When Natalie returned from her long summer vacation she'd
brought home more than Grandpa had bargained for.
Natalie explained that she had purchased the poor creatures
from a strange bubble gum machine in Lake Wood, NJ.
She told Grandpa that he needed to add on 3 more
rooms for the little darlings. hee he hee hee!
I'm going back to South Carolina to visit my peeps.
Just wanted to make you smile before I head on out!
Have a wonderful week everyone.
Fish and grits Yaw!!!!

You never cease to amaze me! Where do all these cute characters come from? Also, you're funny. You always make me laugh.
Having lived in SC for 11 years, I bet I know some of your peeps, or at least a cousin of your peeps.

Oh no! You're off just as I managed to get rid of the new version of IE8 which had a glitch that stopped me from visiting my favourite blogs by either freezing the flippin' page or just pinging up with a hugely alarming message telling me to ABORT this operation. Anyway, its gone and I'm back. Thank you for leaving us with a smile - such an enchanting little story and illo to go with it. Have a safe trip and a wonderful time, Vanessa! As they say in the old country 'hamba khale' - go gently!

I'm heading to Lakewood so I can get some monsters out of a gumball machine. Cute!

Daniel Chaffin said...

I hope Grandpa realizes that if they lived in a gumball machine together then they might learn to be content with sharing a room. The blue one would probably sleep in some sort of jar anyway.

Artsnark said...

Love the colors! fun fun piece

justdoodleit said...

Now in gumball machines too! These monsters are more colorful & cuter than the ones under the bed :)

You are excellent with colors.

BTW: I am excited to find a veteran phlebotomist who can illustrate. I, too, work in a laboratory but now my title is medical laboratory technician. I am beginning my journey as an illustrator. I have a lot to learn but learn I will. Slowly but surely. And I feel even more motivated because I see how successful you are.
