Craving

Stanley's pet octopus had a real thing for fashion.
Stanley gently sat her down one day to tell her
that she would have to control her horrible
"Cravings" for socks and stockings. He explained
that he simply could not borrow against his
allowance any more. He was already 3 weeks
in the hole because of her cravings.
hee hee hee!
Happy weekend everyone!

Vanessa, I love how your illos always come with a silly story. I think your art is magnificent on its own, but your humor and creativity just shine with the accompanying prose!

Great work! Delightful even! Seriously I touched an octopus the other day. It stuck to my had. It was "Floating Lab" for kids to see and touch marine creatures. Cool stuff.

Here in Spain we have an excelent dish: the galician octopus. I thing the colors of Stanley´s octopus would give it an awesome touch, he, he.

I don't really know what to say. Each sock and stocking is so original. I didn't realize that Octopi were so very stylish. And how fitting for the young man to put himself in hock for such a fashion conscious, leggy woman.

You are most brilliant, my lady. I cannot wait to get my fix from your blog. It makes me smile incessantly. I'm truly addicted.

You have a great weekend.

Also, thanks for your comment on my blog. I agree with you -- I often get lazy and neglect to show proper appreciation. Here's hoping I can keep up good habits!

Wooohooo, Vanessa! I bet that octopus does a lot of slipping and sliding across the waxed floors when Stanley's gone, just like Tom Cruise. That's why she keeps needing new socks. She keeps wearing them out!

Oh my goodness, girl. What is it like in your head, I wonder! The stories you come up with!! HAhahaha! They are just as fun as your illustrations!
