It's a Wonderland Kinda Day

I love Alice in Wonderland! I love everything about it!!!
The story, characters and all. There are so many artist
who have illustrated these beautiful characters. I would love to
illustrate," Through the Looking Glass" one day. What story would
you like to illustrate??? Is it " Red Riding Hood", or maybe
"The Boy Who Cried Wolf"??? Whatever the story, be it your own
or one of the classsics! Give it a try and give yourself permission to
explore. You never know what you might come up with.
Have a Wonderland Kinda day!!!

Another beautiful picture. I think, given the opportunity, I would love to illustrate "The 5 Chinese Brothers." This was one of my all time favorite children's books.

Have a great day, my dear.

I love how you've done Alice and the white rabbit. They have some of the iconic parts of the characters and some distict features (Alice as a brunette!) But I really love the rabbit's costume. Excellent!

Hmmm there are so many that would be totally fun to illustrate...I think maybe I would like to do anything with princesses.

Hey I have missed you sooo much,I am a bad bad blogger lately! I realized I have been having withdrawals from your fabulous artwork so I need to get back on schedule :) How cool that you were in NC too, it was so hard to come back to the desert after those luscious trees! Keep in touch, k?

Hi Vanessa! I was just thinking the same thing today! We watched Australia last night, and I love how the director incorporated the Wizard of Oz into the theme. I was thinking how fun it would be to illustrate a classic. I haven't quite decided which would I would like to do, but I think it is a great idea. Love the illo!

Alice looks charming and the overall blue is nice. Natalie and her friends below have the makings of a girl band :)

YAAA! This is fantastic! I absolutely adore Alice in Wonderland. The classic book illustrations are on my dinner plates, for cryin' out loud! But your Alice -- she's a lot more streetwise and confident, don'tcha think? She's a very cooool Alice, hanging out with her very coool rabbit friend. (Nice threads, dude!)

What would I like to illustrate? Well, I'd have to start off easy, like maybe Shel Silverstein's Missing Piece. Hahaha!

Have a wonderland day, Miss V!

Fantastic! And yes, Alice in Wonderland is just a visual amusement park of ideas! Myself, I have always wanted to illustrate Beauty and the Beast or The Nutcracker.
Have a great weekend!

I think it's the vintage cookbook connection (your pictures just remind me of the 50s and 60s and my mother's cookbooks from then) but your pictures make me hungry. In a good way!

What a great illustration! I love this! I've always wanted to illustrate, "The Little Match Girl" there is a melancholy sweetness to it. Anyhow, I'm back and missing ya! Holla back!
