It Cost to much to live here in Jersey

Well, my husband and I are considering relocating.
IT'S STRAIGHT SCARY PEOPLE!!!!!!
I can't imagine living any where else. All I have ever
known is New Jersey exits 145, 143, and 130!!!
WHAT IS WE'S GONE DOOOOOO!!!!
Okay, I know, " Man up and deal right?"
I will know by Dec 1 if we have to move. The only way for
me to shake the scary feelings was to draw so I came up with this.
The only person that really won't mine is my cat Kirby the fearless
and the over weight lover. I will keep you posted.
Pray yall! I AIN'T READY TO LEAVE JUST YET!!!

Ahhh naahhh, Lady V. No no uh-uh. I hope it doesn't come to that. Change is scary and daunting. But I know you. You can make lemonade out of a bag of salt and some broken lightbulbs. Why, just LOOK at the confidence and optimism in this beautiful drawing. (LOVE the tilt of her glasses, by the way.) I'm getting down right now on my knees and praying.

Love that illustration Vanessa. As long as you are with the one you love, you can do anything. It's strange, I was born and raised in San Jose, CA and thought I would always be there. As of yet I haven't moved out of state, but my hubby and I move to Modesto, about an hour and a half away from San Jose. Smaller town it was and now 20 years later it's grown quite a bit. Now we are actually wanting to find a smaller town, but we've put so much work into our home, that it's hard. Don't worry Vanessa, all will be all right, we adapt easily. Let us know what happens. Take care.

Vanessa...first off...your illustration absolutely positively knocked my socks off! Now I'm walking barefoot in our home and you know what? I love it here. We moved three years ago..and it was right before the bust. Truly. We sold in the knick of time, rented a dilapidated (kids called it "haunted") house for one month, found our "dream" home..and are here now. I have to tell you, you will just be phenomenal wherever you go...home is where your love(s) is(are). You will be with your family and your oodles of art gear, and you know you have all of us out here in blogville. I will keep good thoughts for you!! : )

Home is where your heart is. Wherever you and your family are relocated to, the place and its neighbourhood is going to be blessed with your artistic talents and beautiful artworks! I love the contrast you have placed between the mother and her boy. Uncertainty versus joyful anticipation towards new place. The kitty is cute!

That is some incredible lemondae ingredients Ms. Bella is talkin' 'bout up thar! But I know you can do it sister! Just wrap up that lovely home and family of yours and wrap them in a bag of sunshine and send you down to a less expensive state. Hmn, let me see what that would be? Hmn...5 bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths for 250. Where can that be? Hmn...HOT HOT HOT! But we gots no color here - autumn, no winter and summer is hell! Except I'm here! HAHAHA!

Yes, moving is scary! But its also an adventure too! I don't mind the actual move, as its rather exciting to me. The thing I hate is the leading up to it. Packing, sorting, throwing away. I read once that moving is like cleansing your soul, out with old in with the new. I like that. I love your illo depicting your feelings! Well done! :)

Okay, YOU know that I know, Ms. V!
I'm still not sure what's up, meeting with the LL today. But I love you, and I believe every word Ms. Bella said about that darned lemonade! You can do anything, including care for a cry-baby like me. (Tears are forming as I write this).

I love you so much, and I will call you when I get the chance. I believe whatever is in store for you and God-driven so it gonna be Good livin'!

Your illustration is lovely. I hope that new acorn is a happy home.

Change can be great. We moved from NJ 5 years ago and never wanted to look back. Our New England home is perfect for our family, even with all the snow!

Ack. Don't give up on Jersey just yet!!! We Jersey girls have to stick together and stick it out!!! But, trust me, I know how high the cost of living is and how tempting other locales are! Coming to you from Exit 105, Tara

I pray for a knowing confidence and peace with all this decision making. We made a big move this last March from northern California to Des Moines. Wowie, it's been challenging but amazing. You'll know what to do. You're clearly surrounded by love and support, and lots of prayer... (sounds like the making of a great adventure, as your drawing clearly illustrates) Love to you and yours.

Action and reaction, ebb and flow, trial and error, change - this is the rhythm of living. Out of our over-confidence, fear; out of our fear, clearer vision, fresh hope. And out of hope, progress.

Don't worry Vanessa everything will be the best for you.

I pray for God's wisdom for your family as you make this important decision. My family lived in Maryland for 2.5 yrs. We moved back to the ATL almost three years ago and we love that you can get so much more for your dollar down here than up north.

You'll flourish wherever you are! Love, love, love this charming image!

Don't you worry!! Change is a good thing. I still can't believe I moved from nyc to ann arbor, michigan just a month ago. Life is very different here but I'm so grateful for the change of scenery and a different life experience. Whatever your decision will be, you'll do just fine :-)

Oh, and super super awesome illo, of course :-)

Sorry I'm a little late chiming in here. I just moved May 1st all by my ownself for the first time in 9 years. (My second solo permanent move.) I was way overdue for the change. It helped that I moved back to my old college town where I have friends. My whole life feels refreshed, and I'm lovin' it! Be brave! And I just love this illustration!!!

I'm catching up on blogs. But as a homebody who has had to move 3 times in the past 3 years--to 2 different states--I know you can do it if you end up having to. It's like illustrating a book--you get a "story board" of all you have to do and then break it down into little chunks. And I'm sure you will have NO problem making new friends :)
