Playing with Red Again

I will admit that the stories of "Little Red Riding Hood and The Three Little Pigs"
are two of my favorite fairy tales. These old favorites have been told and
retold in almost every language and in every culture. I wonder what would happen
if you brought the two stories together??? Kinda like peanut butter and
chocolate if you will. What do you think would happen if the two stories
where to come together as one? Okay don't hold back. Tell us how you
really feel! he he he he!
Have a great rest of the week.

Granny would take her cue from the 3 little pigs and when the Big Bad Wolf knocked on her door pretending to be Little Red Riding Hood she'd chime in "Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin, you're the Big Bad Wolf and I won't let you in."

Oh, oh, oh! That is the hippest looking wolf I've ever seen!! You know what?? I think he should save his breath, forget about blowing houses or eating wrinkly ol' grannies (eewww) and take Little Red for a night in town!! Show her that the world goes beyond picking flowers in the forest!! Hahahahaaa!!!

Lovely stuff, V!! You ROCK!! oxx

From what I see...it's as if Granny and the Pigs know something Mr. Wolf does not. Gran is hiding behind this very French looking, debonair wolf (note: beret and scarf). A piggy is holding on to Gran, the remaining duo of swine are looking at Red with fear in their beady eyes. Now, to the common on-looker, Red is a shy, awkward, perhaps pigeon-toed, basket carrying girl, but the truth is...she's a ninja! And she's about to unload a can of whoop-butt on Wolf McFrency. Look out now...that girl is bad, she's bad, she's really, REALLY BAD!! hahahaha :)

OOOOH1 That red looks like Lester the Molester with his tongue sticking out.
Really Vee, you know how to bring out the emotions in me with your drawings.

You know of all the Grimm's Tales, This one really creeps my heart with all the euphemism and the metaphor.

Oooh, I see Red! Normally when I see red, I act more like an angry wolf. But not YOUR Red! She makes me SMILE!

Look at that big bad wolf! No wonder he's drooling. He's got appetizer, main course and dessert right there in front of him! Well, I say they take a cue from Bug's Life and work together as a team. I think Granny's already got the idea. Seems she's in prime position to administer a wicked wedgie. That, by the way, is the main reason you don't see too many wolves wearing pants these days. Wedgiephobia.

Have a FABO BABO week, Super V! Love you more than telethons love celebrities!

ha ha ha ... what a great idea! ... could be something like: while riding hood in the forest is alive and trying to bring food to her grandmother, the three little pigs never stop chasing to kill everything in the basket and when he finally gets home from her grandmother is the wolf who saves her from the evil food-eating pigs, because the wolf is the bridegroom, 30 years young, Grandma ... what story so crazy no?

La La, If you have time, listen to 'INTO THE WOODS' or get the video, if you haven't seen it. That little red riding hood doesn't fool around....

Well I think, lil read and the wolfe can really become good friends.
Lil read learnd from her granny how to make a real good hog roast.
You know that she and granny are germans, don´t you?
(In Germany we are all good in making roast pork.)
I think they will have a great meal and by fortunatly the poor wolfe gets in the end rid of these annoying piglets (HE HE).
By the way , I think it is only fair of you to show us these two, after you took them away, by changing your header ;0)
Have a great week
Hugs
Janine

I'm loving the little pig with his arm around Grannies leg, too funny. Only you would think of combining these two stories, you are so creative Vee. I love both stories too, hmmmmmm, I think this could make a fabulous book idea. You'd better get right on it. The story of little red and her pets the three pigs who live with grandma in a tree house... yeah, that's it, go for it! hehehe... 'you' could it work. XO Vee, have a good one.

OMG! I came here exhausted and with my eyelids half open and I read Bella's comment and now I am beside myself laughing like a crazy loon!

HAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Oh Veee! We have the best! We have Bella!!!!!! Wedgiephobia - AHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

I am still ealous of the two of you!!!

Heh, it's a great idea throwing the whole lot in together and dragging out the survivor. Wonderful faces and body language and this is so much fun!!!!!!!!!!

I think I'm the only one who can even imagine that get together. You peole are really creative, V you have the best followers, LOL!

MrBibleHead said...

I wonder if the wolves in the two stories were brothers.... The tale could begin with them sitting at the breakfast table discussing their terrorizing plans for the day. Maybe they flipped a coin to see who gets little Red. :o) I love your little piggy hanging on to dear old granny :o) Vanessa you ROCK!

michael robertson said...

personally, I think Red and Wolfie would just have themselves a big old pig roast...but that's just me. amazing, again V!!!

Vanessa Brantley Newton said...

You guys are HOOOOOT!! Roast those pigs!!! Oh how nasty of us. Roast those little darlings??? We'll have to see!

I love the mash up idea of the fairy tales...
Little Red Riding Hood...I think should hang out with Hansel and Gretel. They can join forces to beat up the witch and the wolf!!

Francisco Martins said...

Hey VVVVVVVVVV.! how are you girl?
Hum...if the 2 tales where to merge...the only thing i can say is...POOR MR. WOLFY!! hahaha! in each story things never end good for the wolf. Imagine what he would suffer in the hands of so many people that wish him dead! :D
he he he!
Loveeeeeeeeee how your mind works Vanessa and this illustration is gorgeous, as everything you do!

I think it would be mayhem for Mr. Wolf if those two stories were brought together. I'm sure Granny, the pigs, and Little Red could devise a strategy to put old Wolfie out of their misery! Haha!

You never cease to amaze me, Ms. V. First of all, they are all so snazzily dressed. But I screamed laughing when I saw the little pig in the back who is HIGHLY upset!

Brilliant, girl!

Well, the the wolf huffs and puffs and they all end up with swine flu virus!

Hi V! I feel like I just woke up from a long winter's nap, found out it's summer, and you have a fancy new header! Yes, combining favorite fairy tales is a good way to get everybody together for a fun party, but I think this gang's going to discover that Granny has left for her weekly bingo night! A girl's gotta do what girl's gotta do! Happy summer to you! ;o)

Ann Pilicer said...

Love the new look! Amazing!!! also a fun idea with the story! You would make it work! go for it! :D

roberta baird said...

I think they go to the Kernels for some fried chicken and biscuits all paid for by Mr. Wolfe, who has of course turned over a new leaf.

Then with much gratitude in her heart, little Red pulls some Reeses peanut butter cups out of that basket of hers and they end the meal with those yummy chocolate/peanut butter cups!

Delish! Everything's better when you share it with friend!

You know the good girls always go for the bad boys.....even when their friemds are pigs.
We've seen it before, nice country girl, no good city guy, but he;s street-suave......
And there she goes, leaving her poor ailing family behind because the hormones have kicked in.
*SIGH*
Even with women's lib, some things just never change!!!
Oh the other hand, Red was always a stand up girl, and if ANYONE could get wolfie to church on Sunday, it would be her!!!

XXOO!!
